Custom Cable Design Service – CCDS
Custom Cable design service( CCDS) was created to help our customers have cables designed and manufactured to their exact industry / application requirements. The CCDS team work closely with our customers to design a bespoke taylor-made cable solution ensuring all electrical , enviromental, approval and application standards are achieved.
Once we have a working design a small sample run of cable is produced , this can be as low as 1000 Mtrs and takes around 5-6 weeks.This gives our customers the chance to ensure the cable performs as expected and to make any minor modifications to the deign prior to a full production run being manufactured.
The CCDS team has already successfully designed cables for ANPR ( Automatic Number Plate Recognition) systems used by the UK police force as well as military CCTV systems, cables for high end home entertainment systems , hydrocarbon resistant cables for petrol forecourts and UL/cUL cables with customer specific jacket materials & colours.

Here at Contact Cables we realise that buyers, specifiers & electrical engineers are all under pressure to reduce their vendor base , improve product design , reduce costs & stock levels, improve efficiency and speed up production. All of these processes take “time” which is the most valuable commodity of all.
That’s why we offer our corss referal service, simply send us your current manufacturers part numbers from RS, Arrow, Farnell , Lapp , Belden , Alpha , Igus or whoever and let us do the work for you. We will investigate what the market has to offer and come back to you with data sheets , samples & costings of our recommended alternative.
